Stop Sweaty Hands Forever

So you have excessive hand sweat or palmar hyperhidrosis that literally drips regardless of season and timing. The medical term for sweaty palms is Palmar Hyperhidrosis, it is a scientific term that means extreme sweating of the hands. I have been there and I know how embarrassing and annoying sweaty hands can be, especially if you have already tried numerous methods to get rid of the condition. This is why I have compiled a list of the most common treatment options for sweaty palms

Pharmaceutical Treatments to stop sweaty palms

*Ditropan and Probanthine
There are quite a few medications which will help you in preventing your palms from sweating. By blocking the neuro transmission which is the key of the sweat production, oral medications such as Probantine and Ditropan are classified as anti cholinergic drugs.
The medications listed below are not specific treatments for the condition. Nevertheless, they all have the same adverse effect: they will keep your hands dry.

*Terazosin
Terazosin has also been approved in treating sweaty palms as it can control sweating. This medication is also currently being used as treatment for hypertension.

Surgical Treatment:

*Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy
How does Thoracoscopic Symathectomy work? A thoracic specialist will cut the sympathetic nerve which controls the sweating production in your hands and feet. You should note tha the surgery does not affect sweating in other parts of your body e.g. under the arm

*Botox
How does Botox work? It works by preventing the chemical transmitter from relaying messages which can cause palm sweating. The good thing about Botox is that it can stop your hands from sweating for up to one year.
Botox injection paralyzes the sweat gland completely.

Other Alternatives:

*Another very good way of stopping sweaty hands is by using a microfiber towel. You should put one in your purse and carry it with you all the time. Just before shaking your hands, reach for your purse and wipe your hand using the cloth.

*Another instant and immediate relief is rubbing your hands on talcum powder or plain cornstarch after you have washed you hands. Both cornstarch and Talcum powder are known to reduce the sweat gland process
